Technical Design
Buildings should stand the test of time, and we understand the demands that the weather, heating and ventilation, and general everyday use can have on them. As active members of the “Architects Declare” movement we are committed to creating buildings that minimise their impact on the environment.
We believe that an Architects job doesn’t stop at the concept design stage and that careful detailing & specification will make a project sing. We offer a full service for projects from start to finish. In our Irish projects this can include Assigned Certifier and Design Certifier as well as Project Supervisor Design Phase for Health and Safety (PSDP).
We coordinate the work of other consultants on the project, including structural engineers, services engineers, quantity surveyors, conservation engineers and so on. We put together technical design packages and specifications to be used for tendering and construction purposes. The amount of information required (and therefore our input) will vary from project to project and will be agreed with the client in advance depending on our scope of involvement.
We have a vast library of sample materials in our Dun Laoghaire office which we use to make mock-ups, before building the real thing and we can assist on obtaining budget costs for specific packages prior to tendering a project.
